Maple Holistics Tee Tree Oil Shampoo Review

**Disclaimer: Thank you Maple Holistics for sending us these shampoos to try. All thoughts and opinions expressed are my own.**

I've recently been trying to make my makeup/skincare/whole lifestyle a little cleaner. Not in a "dirt" way but with the amount of chemicals that I use. I'm not going to lie, this may have stemmed from a few terrifying Netflix documentaries about how everything we use is killing us. But, regardless of the reason, being conscious about what you're putting in/on your body is an attainable first step in a journey to being healthier overall and definitely something I'm trying to be more aware of.

When we were approached about testing the Maple Holistics Tee Tree Oil Shampoo, I was ecstatic. Maple Holistics' mission is to create amazing beauty/health products the are cruelty-free, paraben-free, GMO-free, and gluten free. The Tea Tree Oil Shampoo promises to promote healthy hair growth, prevent flaking and dandruff, soothe an irritated scalp, potentially naturally get rid of lice, and leave your hair and scalp rejuvenated and fresh.

While I can't vouch for all the claims, after several days of using this product, I have to admit I'm extremely impressed. The formula is light and non-greasy, leaving my hair feeling bouncy and nourished. When my hair dried, it was soft and fairly smooth. While I don't mean to say that my scalp is crazy dry, it definitely does suffer from a little dryness every so often, especially when the seasons change (as in, right about now). Any dryness there was, this shampoo completely got rid of.

I obviously cannot vouch for its lice-ridding abilities, however if that works it would be amazing (some of the lice shampoos seem to have millions of chemicals in them).

As you may know, I am very sensitive to the smell of the products I use; I hate using overly scented products. This shampoo does have a stronger scent that the Pantene shampoo I usually use, however I found that by the 4th time, I was more or less used to it. There are almost two distinct smells/notes to this shampoo - the classic tea tree oil smell and then a deeper almost coffee/nutty smell. I don't love the deeper scent, but I like I said, I don't hate it.

Overall, I think this is a great step in my journey to using "cleaner" products, I love the limited  ingredients used in the creation of this product! If you're looking for other natural products to try, check out the Maple Holistic Free Samples Program to receive any one of their products free! As always, let me know if you have tried this product or have tried something similar, I'd love to hear your thoughts.

XOXO,

Samantha
