Deep breaths

2017 started off on a rocky start. But even so, I have made it my priority to post 2x a week on the blog, and have held up that part of my resolution thus far. Unfortunately, some of the content I have been posting hasn't been super exciting or really fun and I wanted to let you know I am working on that. I have a few ideas of posts that I am planning on writing later this week.

Since I need a post for tomorrow (today when you are reading this), I wanted to share some inspiration with you. Instead of targeting one specific thing like Sam, I want to speak more abstractly and broadly. So here it goes...

Life isn't always easy. It almost never is actually. Life throws obstacle, after obstacle, after obstacle at you when you least expect it coming. I have found that the best thing to do is not dodge these obstacles; they will only come back again later. Instead, you have to tackle the challenge, embrace it even if it is difficult. In our society, challenges are looked at as a bad thing; you always want to be on top, and feel as if you have everything under control. In reality, life is a mountain, and your goal is to climb to the top-- you will never reach the top in your lifetime, but everything step you take towards the summit is a challenge you overcame. Big or small, challenges can shape you, mold you, and make you into a better person. So, as hard and upsetting as it is, make every challenge into a chance to better yourself, and as a step towards the summit.

I understand this is pretty abstract and might be hard to grasp for some people, but in the moment I felt very inspired. I know that if you're struggling with anything, life seems hard and intense. Take things day by day, and I promise, you will be okay.

If you have anything you want to share, please feel free to leave it in the comments below or instagram DM me and I'll get back to every single one of the comments/messages.

Thank you so much for reading!

XOXO,
Jordan
