Game Day Guacamole

It’s Super Bowl Sunday! Not that I have any idea whatsoever of who’s playing, where they’re from, or what colors the teams are. All I know is that Queen Bey (literally my idol), Bruno Mars, and Coldplay are performing at the halftime show and that’s enough to make me want to watch. And you know, obviously because I want to see the teams score a goal or whatever. I’m just kidding I actually kind of get football (shocker, I know) so I’m excited to show off all my football knowledge to my friends. Along with showing off how football savvy I am, I’m going to be showing off my Ultimate Game Day Guacamole. This is the perfect appetizer to bring with you or serve on Game Day, so I thought I would share my recipe!

  • 2 Ripe Avocadoes
  • Juice of 1 Lime
  • ¼ cup Red Onion
  • ½ cup Red Tomatoes
  • 1 TBSP Cilantro
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Pepper
  • 2TBSP Jalapeno Pepper (If you’re feeling spicy)

  • Place the avocados in a bowl and mash with a fork, you want to try and make it a smooth spreadable consistency.
  • Add in the chopped red onions, tomatoes, and jalapenos and mix together.
  • Squeeze the juice of 1 lime over the mixture.
  • Add the salt and pepper and cilantro.
  • Mix to spread evenly.
  • Serve immediately or cover and refrigerate for  up to 3 hours.
  • Enjoy!

This is my favorite guacamole recipe to make, and I think it’s a perfect addition to any game day meal! These taste amazing with pita chips (I’m a fan of Stacy’s Naked Pita Chips) but anything you have on hand will work! Comment what you’re doing for the game down below or share a pic of your finished guacamole for a chance to be featured on social media!
