Eleanor and Park book review

Hey guys!
I’m back with another book review. Lately, I’ve been trying to get back into reading for fun and I’ve heard tons of great reviews on this book so I thought I would read it and see what I thought about it. Just a reminder, these book reviews DO NOT contain spoilers so if you are planning on reading the book you can read the whole review :)
Also PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE comment below your thoughts on this book so we can have a conversation down below!!
Let’s just get on with the review…
I’m not going to lie, it took me a while to read Eleanor and Park. Personally, I thought the beginning was very slow. There was almost no story line and just seemed like a string of events that just happened to occur in a few days. After reading for a few nights, I put down the book and decided that I wasn’t going to continue reading. A few weeks later, I found the book in my closet, and decided to pull it out and finish it.
After the first few chapters, a story line starts to develop and you really get to know the characters. I feel the story does move quite quickly and it was a light, easy read. Once i started actually reading, it took me about 3 hours total to finish the book (not in one sitting, but in 3 or 4).
I can’t say much more because I don’t want to give anything away, but…
I did like this book. It was a good, really sweet, uplifting book. I don’t think it was worth all the hype everyone around me was giving it, but I do recommend it to you!
I hope this was a helpful book review.
Let me know some of your top reads, and I’ll be sure to read them (and give you a shout out!!!)
