Beach Waves (through September)

So I guess since its September 20th we can officially say the Summer is over. So long late nights, beach days, and lazy afternoons. So long tans, bikinis, and beach hair. But wait! What if I told you there was a way that you could keep summer going a little longer? At least part of it? The beach hair part.

If you want to wake up with beach waves, wash your hair before you go to sleep and then towel dry it.

  • Divide your hair into sections and twist them, remembering that the smaller the section and the tighter you twist them, the more wavy your hair will be.
  • Pull all your hair straight up on top of your head. You’ll look ridiculous but that’s ok.
  • Spray a sea salt spray (I love this one)* on it.
  • Then twist all your hair into a top knot. Again, who cares if you look ridiculous.
  • Spray the top knot again with sea salt spray.
  • When your hair is dry let it down and comb/fork through it with your fingers.
  • Voila, you have beach waves - in the middle of September.

*If you’re not feeling paying 27$ for a spray make your own by combining water and salt (coconut oil optional). Combine in a spray bottle and follow the same steps.

So this is my tutorial and recipe. Hopefully it help you keep those beach vibes all year round! Share pictures with us of you rocking beach waves for a chance to be featured on social media!
