Food- 4th of July party treat ideas!

Hey guys!
In today’s post, I’ll be sharing some of my favorite treats for the 4th of July. I’ll also be posting a 4th of july party ideas, decor and essentials post so subscribe to make sure you don’t miss out on that post!
If you didn’t already know, I love cooking and baking, but I know not everyone does so here are a few simple, delicious ideas, and one more complicated cake!
A few days ago, I was eating strawberries and whipped cream (soo good!) and I thought of a genius idea! Why can’t I just scoop out the inside of the strawberry, and put the whipped cream directly inside the strawberry?! Although this may be a little time consuming, it’s really really good, and it looks so cool too! Also it’s red and white for the 4th of July! (you could add blueberries or something for the blue)
For this recipe, you only need 2 things! Whipped cream and strawberries.
Usually I make my own whipped cream. I add 1 cup of heavy whipping cream, 3 tablespoons of confectioner’s sugar and 1 teaspoon of vanilla. Although i usually make my own whipped cream, it might be easier to use a prepackaged one because of the dispenser.
All you do is take a kitchen knife and scoop out the insides of the strawberries. Then simply squirt some whipped cream into the strawberry, and enjoy!

My second treat takes a classic cookie (the oreo) and turns it into a red, white and blue themed treat! You will need oreos, white chocolate, red and white coloring (i used the Wilton candy melts).
The first step is to melt the white chocolate. I created a double boiler by putting a metal bowl on top of a small pot with boiling water. Melt the chocolate for 5-10 minutes, or until it is smooth. Dip the oreo into the melted white chocolate. It doesn't matter if it's not completely covered, but it should be at least 3/4 covered in the white chocolate. Wait until it hardens, about 10 minutes. While the oreos are drying, melt the red and blue wilton color melts (in 2 separate bowls lol). Then take the oreo and dip it into one of the colors. Make sure to only dip it in 1/3 of the way so it can be a red white and blue cookie! Wait until the color melts dry, then dip the other side into the other color, and let cool! Now you have delicious red, white, and blue oreos!

The last treat I'm sharing today is perfect for a day party or something like that. All you'll need is red cranapple juice, sobe pina colada, blue gatorade, and popsicle molds. First, fill 1/3 of the popsicle mold with red cranapple juice. Then add crushed ice all they way to the top. Slowly pour your pina colada and then your gatorade. Freeze for 1-2 hours, and enjoy! These are really cute, delicious, refreshing treats for any 4th of july party! *I wouldn't try this with any red white and blue drinks because it'll only stay separated if the densities are different! If you want other drink options, just google it!

Come back next week for a delicious pie and DIY decorations! I'm super excited for those posts, and I hope you guys are too!
