Best Bathing Suits for Your Body Type

Bikini season is coming! And weather you love it or hate it it’s coming. I know it can be stressful, trying to pick out a swimsuit you feel comfortable in. Hopefully this guide will help you guys pick out a bathing suit that will flatter your body type and make you feel comfortable. As I’ve said before, my biggest tip is for you to just wear whatever you love and look good in. If you wear it with confidence, others will see that and instantly love it too. Anyways, I’ll just get on with my tips.

  • If you have a smaller bust - Try a bathing suit with horizontal stripes. This will fill you out in all the right places and look amazing on you. You also need less support up top. You can opt for a more daring top. Bathing suits with ruffles, frills, and embellishments will help fill you out a little. You can also use a push-up or bra top to create the illusion of more cleavage.
  • If you are apple shaped - Try a bathing suit with with a little extra support up top. Underwire, molded cups, higher backs, and thicker straps can all help with that. Try to avoid ruffles or embellishments up top as they will bring attention to your chest. You are also looking to find a suit that will help smooth out your middle. A high waisted bikini or a bottom with gathered fabric will also help slim you down.
  • If you are pear shaped - Try a bathing suit with underwire and maybe a little padding to balance out your lower body. Because you have a smaller bust, you can be a little more daring on top. Try an eye catching pattern or a plunging neckline to draw attention up. Also, avoid repeating circles on the bottom as they’ll make you look a little frumpy. You can try a skirted bottom that falls just below the largest part of the upper leg will also help balance out your proportion, but be careful because too much extra fabric will call attention to the area you’re trying to cover. You can also opt for a higher cut bottom which will help elongate your legs and balance you out.
  • If you’re athletic - Try a high-waisted bathing suit bottom to balance out your long legs. This is a super cute trend that’s just coming back and you’re lucky enough you can rock it. Try to avoid wearing a string bikini, your legs will miles long, and not in a good way. However being long and lean, you can use a little less coverage to look a little more feminine. A monokini also cuts out at all the right places and will help add some curves.
  • If you have a flat butt - Try a bathing suit with horizontal stripes, it will help fill you out. You can also try a bathing suit with more ruffles or ruching on the bottom. An eye catching pattern or design will also enhance your tush. Boyshort bottoms will also look amazing on you! But you can also opt for high cut bottoms to make your booty pop.
  • If you are hourglass shaped - High waisted bottoms will help smooth out your sides. Draw attention to your tiniest part, your waist, by trying a cinched bathing suit or a monokini. A longline bathing suit top with underwire will also help with support. An asymmetrical suit will also help bring attention up to your neck and face and can look super flattering on you. Vertical stripes will give the illusion of more length while a crisscrossing pattern will make you look slimmer.
  • If you are petite - If you’re petite you’re pretty much small all over. Try a bathing suit with an eyecatching print to draw attention to your bust and booty. You can also try a high cut bottom that will help put a spotlight on your booty and make your legs look miles long. A string bikini will also help fill you out as will a more daring top.
